Basic
Ready-to-Play Characters
Basic character sets are made up of common and uncommon cards
and include the character, his/her equipment, one loot item, Valarian Champion
card and one to be earned ace, character record sheet and rules.
Add a Flaw includes the flaw
card and enough ace cards to fill the points. If you note which character gets
the flaw, the aces will be customized to that character.

Add-A-Flaw
Being
specific when playing a flaw helps you define your character's
personality, making him/her more fun to play. Just remember, these are
teenagers who will, hopefully, outgrow their flaws. Add-A-Flaw includes the flaw and appropriate aces to
cover the added points. Some flaws may change the listed character cards.

Ugly U-31 +3 (no charm)
Really bad acne or other skin condition will send your character
searching for potions, creams and cures. Being a slob, dirty, bad
teeth and foul breath also put people off. If you use overweight as
the flaw, be careful of offending other players. |

perception) Why is your head in the clouds? Are you in love? a
dreamer? a schemer? fogged by too little sleep from insomnia or too
much drink? Are you so self-absorbed that nothing else penetrates?

Denial R-137+6 (no racial
cards except form) This one is difficult to play because if you
don't believe in shape shifters or think they're evil, why are you
hanging around with them? Some possibilities: a devout Elethay
worshiper who believes s/he is not worthy of such a blessing. A
remorseful apprentice who relishes the power and tries not to think
of its source might try to save his shifter friends though he'll
have nightmares about it. A stubborn traditionalist in an uncommon
form: "All dwarves become gargoyles so I can't have shifted into a
dragon." A spirit dreamer who has difficulty separating dreams from
reality: "It's a wonderful vision but it can't be real." |
