The Back Wall - GM Ideas If you are running demo games we'd like to help. Contact me for more information. Standard demo game guidelines by Susan Van Camp Check here for card combinations and ideas. These are suggestions only, feel free to make changes according to your scenario. For the birds... Chickie Baby is the pet of Bubba, a renegade orc, who generally carries him on his shoulder. Chickie Baby looks like a cross between a crow and a bedraggled chicken with chicken feet, greasy black feathers, beady eyes and a sharp pointed beak. While Bubba and his brothers Buddy and Bub hassle travelers, Chickie Baby will try to steal shiny things, peck at eyes and ankles and leave feathers and acidic droppings everywhere. If frightened or attacked, Chickie Baby will fly up and lay a blaster (3D6 magic damage to anyone within 10 feet of impact) egg on his attacker. U-88 Blighted Beast, U-106 Reflexes, C-22 Bat Wings (flying ability goes, wings stay on if purified), U-82 Acid Spitter (droppings), R-14 Blasters. Chickie Baby may use R-50 Swoop Attack and U-7 Thievery if you wish. Chickies are also found in the wild. They are indifferent parents and build loose nests in low branches or shrubs. Babies are so ugly they're cute and may appear to be abandoned if found by passersby. Baby Chickies peep and flutter pitifully but will give Contagious Laughter if handled. Parent birds will attack anyone they find near the nest. Baby Chickie - U-88 Blighted Beast, U-27 Charm, FEA-021 Contagious Laughter.
Peep aka Chickenzilla Peep is a chicken who escaped from the farm during a dragon storm. She grew to 10 feet in height but is still a birdbrain. Peep will peck at anything shiny and try to eat any small creatures, thinking they're bugs. She is stubborn, nearsighted and tough. Peep has a nest with eggs that are currently hatching. There may be 3 foot tall chicks, unhatched chicks and rotten eggs in the nest. Peep will defend the nest unless she is led off and distracted. If hurt or frightened, Peep will squawk loudly (Spawn Song). U-88 Blighted Beast, U-111 Blighted Bulk, C-109 Scaled Skin (feathers), U-106 Reflexes, U-110 Fleet Feet, FEA-006 Spawn Song, FEA-015 Too Mean (stupid) to Die, U-73 Toughness, &/or U-72 Muscular. Chicks: U-88 Blighted Beast, C-109 Scaled Skin (feathers), U-27 Charm, U-110 Fleet Feet, FEA-007 Bone Quaker Scream, possibly FEA-011 Two Heads Rotten eggs can't be told from the outside (UNI-009 Disguise) and will explode if hit causing 3D6 magic damage (R-14 Blasters) to everyone within 10 feet plus the smell will cause those within range to lose any scent-based abilities for 1D6 hours and give characters -4 Stealth until they wash themselves and their clothes thoroughly.
Scuttle Birds These shocking pink birds look like 8" tall flamingos with narrower pointed beaks. Flocks are found in blighted forests, where they search for bugs in warped Spanish moss, and along the edges of warped lakes and slow-moving streams. They are curious, very territorial and will follow travelers to the edge of their territory. They use Bone Quaker Scream to defend their territory against threats and challengers. (Whistling and bird calls are considered challenges.) U-88 Blighted Beast, U-27 Charm, U-106 Reflexes, FEA-007 Bone Quaker Scream Other Creatures... Warp Mosquito Size of a hummingbird and as fast, 1st bite does poison damage, 2nd bite causes Tox, 3rd bite goes through DEF and can kill you. CAS-003 Plague Bringer, U-106 Reflexes x2, C-91 Poison Claws (bite), may have U-110 Fleet Feet (fast wings), R-90 Tox. Pit Vine Generally found in rocky ground and abandoned paved areas like old dragon clan holds. Vines have nice flowers and/or delicious fruits above ground to attract victims. The stony or paved area around the vine has been hollowed out by the roots and only vines hold up the surface so that any beast or character that steps on it will fall through. Characters that are caught in this pit will take damage from the fall, acid damage from broken stems (sap) and thorn damage from the vines that twist quickly around victims. Very large pits may have 3 or 4 plants rooted in the pit. Once cleared, the pits often hold metal and stone objects left by earlier victims. There is also a variety of water pit vine that likes to inhabit old fountains and pools. C-110 Warped Plant, C-18 Tentacles (vines), C-91 Poison Claws (thorns), U-91 Boils (sap), U-106 Reflexes x2, U-72 Muscular &/or U-73 Toughness, FEA-015 Too Mean to Die, U-59 Pit Trap
